If you caught my tutorial for installing wallpaper on our kitchen ceiling, than you know adding bead board is something I have wanted to do for quite a while. So when Graham & Brown reached out about using some of their products, I was thrilled to finally give this project a try. You can catch all the details in the “tutorial” post as to why I decided to go with wallpaper vs. real or faux bead board. While I don’t think installing wallpaper to a ceiling is for the faint at heart. Once I figured out the right formula of soaking the wall paper, allowing the paste to activate, and cutting the right lengths, it went up pretty quickly! Are you ready to see the results?!
Here is a quick recap on what it looked like before. I know the ceilings can be overlooked the majority of the time. But when we give them a little love, we add so much character back into our spaces.
Here is the After :
Now, I get it, in photos it can be hard to tell, especially when it’s white. So I’m going to do my best to show you, but can I just tell you it does not even come close to how cozy it feels in person.ย
Here is above our kitchen sink Before :ย
And After :ย
I was very impressed with the quality of this bead board wallpaper from Graham& Brown, and would absolutely use it again for future projects. I love the look and feel we get now in our kitchen. It feels like it was always apart of the house, which to me is the best kind of design upgrade you can make.
I still feel like I’m catching my breath from Haven, and then being on vacation for a week, but I can’t wait to share my Haven recap with you all! And I have a beautiful Farmhouse Friday Home Tour lined up for you this week, so I can’t wait to share that too!!!

I love it! Is the beadboard blacksplash the wallpaper as well?
Bre says
Hi Jody. Thank you so much! The bead board backsplash is actual bead board, then I painted it white with trim paint so it was easy to wipe down ๐

Where are those island pendants from? Love!!!

Thanks Kim. They island pendants are from Lowes, and I shared a tutorial for how I painted them to look like worn barn lights.

I love it!! What about durability in the kitchen…..meaning discolor ing etc from cooking, steam etc. I’d love to do this…..but worried I would be high maintenance. Your thoughts?
Bre says
Thanks Kathie! At this point I’m planning on crossing that bridge when I get there. It’s crossed my mind, but just haven’t had an issue yet. I will be sure to keep you updated when I do get there ๐
