Hello Friends! You have no idea how much all of your kind words and congratulations on my BIG announcement yesterday means to me!! So many times my eyes filled up with tears over the supper and love you all poured out, and I can’t even begin to say Thank You enough! As promised, I’m sharing one of the tablescapes from my NEW BOOK – “The Gift of Gathering” with you today, and I have some amazing blogging friends joining me! Get ready to be inspired, and plan your next fall get together!
Nothing says fall in New England like a freshly picked apples. Growing up this was a tradition my family would do every year. And now with a family of our own, we love to carry on this tradition.
I knew I wanted to create a fall tablescape for the book, that encompassed the heart of fall in New England, and these beautiful apples did just that! I wanted to use an old factory cart my husband had found for me, and my talented friend Christi, who has created floral arrangements for me in the past, helped with designing the apple centerpiece, and those cute little glass votives hanging from above for the book.
To keep the gathering feeling casual, I set up an old factory cart in lieu of setting a table. Friends can grab a throw blanket and pillow to sit on, and gather around for a fun, laid-back get-together.
To keep things cozy, a warm mug of hot apple cider was placed on each place setting to add a personal touch. I included this recipe in the book, it’s a favorite in our house, and I know you will love it too!
Even if you don’t have an outdoor table set up, think outside the box. Bring out a coffee table, or place some crates next to each other, or even an old factory cart! It’s surprising details like this that will set the mood when your guests arrive for a unique fall get-together.
Even if you don’t have an apple orchard near you, head to your local grocery store, and grab a bushel of apples to through in a bucket! You just might be surprised at how appealing this simple centerpiece can be 🙂
This gathering was just one of the 12 I created for my NEW BOOK – “The Gift of Gathering”, which you can preorder NOW – HERE.

It looks amazing as usual, Bre! Your talent inspires me so much! I would never have thought to use a cart in such a way! Also, now I need to figure out how to go apple picking at 9 months pregnant…I was planning on skipping it this year but might just have to go 😉
Congrats on the book – I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy.
