Did you know I have a FaceBook group? You may have already known this, in fact some of you are in the group, but as this little private group grows into a community, I can’t help but think of one thing – YOU! So today I want to tell you about “Coffee with Bre”.

If I had to pick one platform that was my favorite way to share projects and home decor loves with everyone it would be here – my blog home! Honestly it’s the one area where I don’t feel like I have to compete against the noise, and I can just be myself. It’s funny because it reflects how our “real-life” homes make us feel too. You can let your hair down, and just be yourself. You feel comfortable and relaxed in your own skin. Well that is just how I feel about sharing things on my blog.

BUT…then the world evolves and we introduce things like social media into the picture, and while I love being able to connect with you on there too, it’s only in the form of screenshots. A quick view into what I’m currently working on, or love, or thinking about. I do love that it offers a quicker way to communicate, being able to comment back and forth in real time, but it hasn’t been a place I’ve felt comfortable to share deeper thoughts or ideas, until now.

When my book came out, The Gift of Gathering, this past October, one of the ways we celebrated the launch was by starting a FB group dedicated to sharing more of an insider look into the book, with tablescape ideas, and tutorials, and really making the book come alive. This was totally a result of being encouraged by my editor, and I hesitated thinking “who is going to want to hang out with me on yet another platform”. But you know what – people did! The first members in that group were so excited to go deeper with me, and get to talk with me one-on-one. Honestly it made the book launch so much more special than I ever anticipated, because I had my own little corner with everyone who was just excited as I was for this book!

What I didn’t expect was to love connecting with the ladies in the group as much as I did. So much so, that I talked with my publishing team and told them I wanted to keep the group going even after the book launch, because I just wanted to have a space where I could give back even more.

I love connecting with women, and encouraging them in all aspects of life, and even more when it’s over coffee. So thus the name “Coffee with Bre” was born. Coffee is a huge part of my life, it may even be a love language in this house, lol, but it’s one of the ways my husband and I really enjoy catching up, and chatting over coffee, especially on the weekends. It’s warm, and comforting, and invites you to come and sit and be refreshed – at least that’s what it does for me.

I go LIVE 1x a week in the FB group, and we talk about all the things, it really has evolved into so much more. We talk about decorating advice, hosting advice, I do live tutorials, and demonstrations, and share all the tips and my thought process along the way. I love the chance to connect and converse with the women in there, so much so, that I wanted to make sure you knew about it too – my faithful blog readers!

I know some of you are already in the group, but I wanted to make sure that nobody misses out! I would love to have you join me over in the Facebook group. It really is a lot of fun, and one of the ways I feel like I can make the blog come more alive, as I share more details about all the photos and posts I share on there.
