I’ve had my eye on THIS rug from Target for probably over a year now, but was always bummed it didn’t come larger than a 5×7. However when you are layering rugs, that is no problem at all. Come see our latest layered rug look in our living room!
Chunky Knit Throw Blanket
Hi Friends!! Thank you so so much for all your kind words about our Christmas tour yesterday!!! They truly mean the world to me. I’ve been stuck serving jury duty this week, so I haven’t had a chance to reply to each one, but have truly loved reading each and every one of them! Many of you commented on the lovely blue touches I carried throughout our decor, and I have to say I was a little nervous at first, especially trying to find just the right shade. But I’m so glad I stuck with it, and love the added pop of color it brings. DIY Silver Tray Wall

2016 Christmas Decor Inspiration
Hi Friends! I wanted to share some of my thoughts and ideas for my christmas decor this year. I know you usually see just the after photos, but I wanted to share some of my thought process and inspiration with you. Sometimes just sharing the journey to how we get to the pretty spaces is more meaningful than the finished product itself. I tend to stick to a mostly neutral color palette to begin with. And while I love that, and I loved our Christmas decor last year, at the end of the day it felt like it was missing something. I know sounds weird right?
Seasons of Life
Can we chat for a minute. Just friend to friend?! Life is hard. There I said it. I know in the world of social media, we are filled to the brim with everyone else’s highlight reel, it can make our own lives feel – well uneventful. Like if we aren’t trying the hippest restaurant in town, or the latest beauty regiment, or have picture perfect children at every moment, who never have outbursts, and always look put together, and don’t shout out in the grocery store “SOMEONE FARTED”….
Not too hot, Not too cold, but just Right!
Yep that’s right! That is exactly how I would describe our new curtains in our living room. Not too hot, too cold, but just right! In other words, not too dark, not too light, but just right! You see I love all white, truly I do, but sometimes it feels just a little to blan for me after awhile. And while throw pillows can certainly add their pop of color, I really just wanted something that would cause a bit more of a change.
