Hi Friends! Thank you so much for all the kind remarks towards yesterdays Spring Vignette post! In case you missed it, you can see it HERE. I think you all were just as excited as I was about all the plants being faux! It really was super easy to make, and I think they can be a staple in your decor, not just for spring. So today I'm sharing with you how I made these DIY faux potted plants. ... Read More about DIY Faux Potted Plants

Spring Decor Roundup
Spring is on it's way! We've had a few days proving that it's coming. Even though we new englanders know not to get our hopes up too much, because snow can still happen all the way up until May - yes MAY, with March in a few days, our long winter is winding down. Thankfully any snow we do get at this point is gone within a day or two, but even the kids have a bit of spring fever, and have said they are done with playing in the snow, lol. I'm gearing up to share our home decorated for spring, and while I'm not quite finished, I saw a photo the other day from a spring post I did a few years ago, and totally reminisced. It made me think, I should do a round up of some of my favorite posts from ... Read More about Spring Decor Roundup
Master Bathroom Before
Hello Friends! I hope you are doing well! Today I'm sharing all of our "before" photos of our master bathroom with you! Brace yourselves, this is a never before seen room. Ack! And it is a whole lot of blah beige. We are teaming up with our friends over at Wayfair to join in on their One Room Reno Challenge. In case you missed it I shared the design plan for the space HERE. I am so excited to get this project started. Our master bathroom is the LAST room in our house to get my signature touch. Seriously this room has not been touched since we moved in just about 7 years ago! Yikes, but I have a feeling it will be one of our best makeovers yet! ... Read More about Master Bathroom Before
Our Story
I realize it would have been more appropriate to share this post on Valentine's Day, however the flu hit our house last week, and I've been taking care of everyone, so I'm just now getting around to sharing. Thankfully everyone is just about fully recovered, and we are looking forward to a nice low-key weekend to help get ourselves back to 100%. I've been thinking a lot lately about where I want to expand in my blog, and as much as I love sharing my passion for home decor, there are definitely other areas that I'm passionate about too. While home decor will still be my main focus, I also want to share things that are more on a personal level with you. Because after all, it's one thing to ... Read More about Our Story
I Don’t Decorate for Valentine’s Day
There I said it! I don't decorate for Valentine's Day. If you've been around the blog for a little while, you may remember me talking about decorating "Seasonally" and not so much for each holiday. It's true though sometimes I will bring out a holiday specific item, like our Tom the turkey for Thanksgiving, but otherwise I just can't bring myself to doing it. I'm not sure why either, I feel like I put a lot of stress on myself to maintain our home in other areas, and giving myself the "get out of jail free card" and not having to decorate for every single holiday allows me to take a deep breath and be ok knowing I don't have to do it all. ... Add Life to your Space with Faux Greens
I'll be the first to admit, I'm scared of houseplants. There I said it! They've always kind of seemed out of reach for me. Like a conversation that has been off the table. However, one thing I have learned in creating inviting spaces is there needs to be Life! It's amazing how much life that little pop of green can add, it's like you know something is missing, but you can't quite put your finger on it, and then BAM! It hits you the moment you bring some life into a space. I've learned though over the years, that this doesn't always mean it needs to be a "real" plant either. You can accomplish the same look by incorporating some really good "life-like" looking faux plants. ... Read More about Add Life to your Space with Faux Greens
18 Living Rooms that don’t have a White Couch
Hello friends!! Happy Monday, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! There is something so refreshing about the weekend, we love to curl up and just relax and refresh on the weekends. Our weeks are so busy, that we've found it absolutely necessary to take time to allow proper rest on the weekends, and time spent with the family so that we can return to Monday and be ready to tackle the week ahead. Our #1 space to relax in is our living room, and I hinted in a previous post that I am getting ready to switch a few things out. I love our white slip-covered sofa, seriously I think I am a W.S.C.S.F.L. (white - slip - covered - sofa - for - Life!) kind of girl, however, I've been itching to change ... What went on in January
Hello Friends! I can't believe the first month of the new year is already done! What a month it had been too! As most of you know, my e-mail subscription had been infiltrated with over 700 spam e-mails, causing my e-mail service to come to a screeching halt until they were all deleted. Which meant me doing it manually one at a time. Endless hours were spent trying to clean up the issue, I still have to fix a few things, but that's ok, because I was already wanting to spruce up my e-mail anyways. (Rest assured nobody's e-mail address' were compromised, it was purely an in-house thing, but it means I'm basically starting over. So if you were subscribed to my blog, and haven't been hearing from ... Read More about What went on in January
New Vintage Rug in the Kitchen
Hi Friends! I've been keeping a secret! I had every intention of sharing this with you weeks ago, but with family things going on, recovery from the holidays, and then our weather not cooperating when I did have a moment to take pictures, it just didn't happen. Enough is enough, the sun was out yesterday, and I pulled my camera out real quick so I could show you how I added some warmth in our kitchen. ... Read More about New Vintage Rug in the Kitchen
15 Furniture Style Single Vanities
If you caught my post Monday, than you know we are planning a makeover for our Master Bathroom. I can hardly wait to get started on it, but before we start tearing out a wall I will be sure to share the before photos with you. After spending hours browsing and searching, and narrowing down my choices, I created a design plan with all of my final decisions and finally felt like I could truly envision the space. You can see my design plan for the space HERE, and I shared a bit on why I chose the pieces I did based off of budget and the need to add lots of character to our boring beige bathroom. I also shared a bit on why I came to the decision to downsize to a 24" vanity. In my searching for a ... Read More about 15 Furniture Style Single Vanities
