Weekend Getaway
I had every intention of sharing this post with you yesterday, and then we got hit with a major rain storm late Sunday night, with winds hitting 50mph knocking out power across most of New England. We were lucky enough to have ours restored only a few hours ago. Thankfully we had no other major damage. Our basement flooded with a few inches of water, but luckily I had just spent Columbus Day cleaning and organizing down there, so everything was up off the floor. Sometimes it can be a bit confusing to figure out what to put on your dining room table that will last all through fall. While faux florals are always a great option, it's nice to have an alternative. I love decorating with pumpkins because they last a long time. I usually stack a few on my dining room table mid-September, and they last all the way up to Thanksgiving. I love it because unlike real flowers, these don't die. I can kind of set it and forget it!
