I shared yesterday that 6 years ago to the day, we closed on our first home! It was such an exciting time in our lives, we were finally going to own our home, and I couldn't wait to put my signature on it. When we first moved in pretty much every room in the house was yellow. We were in our sixth year of marriage so other than our IKEA living room furniture we had purchased a few years prior, the rest of our belongings were typical newlywed hand-me-downs. Celebrating Milestones

Six years ago today my husband and I did our 4th serious grown-up accomplishment. We sat down and signed away what felt like our life, and some of the scariest documents we had ever seen, but what turned out to be one of the most exciting things we did together. Although it was extremely intimidating and there were moments that felt like this was never going to happen, on March 28th, 2011, only 10 weeks after the birth of our second child, we bought our first house. Buying furniture can be daunting. I get it, especially when you have more than one room to buy furniture for. We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to our bathroom reno. It felt like every step of the way we hit an obstacle. I guess that is to be expected in any renovation, especially when your house is almost 200 years old. This has probably been the most extensive project we have tackled, being that just about everything we ripped out needed to be re-done behind the walls. The plumbing being the worst of it. New Frames Around the TV

I shared a little sneak peak on Instagram last week of the new frames I hung around our tv. We've always had a gallery wall around out tv, but it's a view in our living room that you guys see the least, but we see the most. When you are sitting on our living room you face the tv, so to help disguise it I hung a gallery wall around it a few years ago. I always loved the look, but starting last year I was craving a more simple design. There was just on problem. I couldn't find the frames I wanted to complete this look - ANYWHERE!
