Last week you got to see a sneak peak, during the Grand Finale of Thanksgiving Tablescapes, of my new 3-tiered wood and tin tray from Painted Fox. Can I just tell you it is every bit as lovely in person as it appears to be. I was surprised by how much room it actually had in each of the trays, and pleasantly surprised because that meant I could fit more things in it. While it has many functional uses, with the holidays right around the corner I thought it would be the perfect spot to set up my hot chocolate bar.I had plenty of room on each tier for my tea kettle with hot water, stirring spoons, all of my cups and saucers, my creamer, of course the hot chocolate and extra ... Mercury Glass Thanksgiving Tablescape {Grand Finale}
Well today is Day 5, the last day of the week long series of Thanksgiving Tablescapes. You know how the saying goes, "They saved the best for last", well I fully believe that is the case here. I am so excited for today, the grand finale!! I have some wonderful friends joining me to show you their tables as well. This post is kind of like photo overload so let's jump right in!Like all the tables before, we start with a clean slate, an empty table. First I layered runners, by placing a cream colored table runner down, and then layered folded burlap sacks on top (the same ones seen on Day 3, just laid out differently).I added my largest pieces first. A silver platter in the middle, and ... Read More about Mercury Glass Thanksgiving Tablescape {Grand Finale}
Wheat & Gold Thanksgiving Tablescape
Welcome back to Day 4 !! I'm so glad you guys are enjoying this just as much as I am, and we are one day closer to the Grand Finale tomorrow, with 13 of my friends!! If you are just joining in, you can catch up here with Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3. Just like before, I start with a cleared off table. A clean slate. Todays Tablescape theme is all about wheat! I paired it with mixed metals, and warm metallic hues to compliment the wheats natural color.I started first by completely covering my table with a cream table cloth. Then started with my center first. I placed a tarnished silver serving platter in the middle, with my largest white pitcher in the middle of that and filled it with wheat ... Cinderella Pumpkin Thanksgiving Table
I'm back with Day 3 of my week long of Thanksgiving Tablescapes. If you are just stopping by for the first time today, or catching up, click the days to see Day 1 and Day 2. I love creating tablescpaes, it's one of my favorite things to do, and what inspired me to do a full week of them, so enjoy Day 3.I start by completely clearing off my table, to have a fresh look, and perspective to design.Once my table is cleared I start by layering fabric on top. I still like to see my wooden table top, so I fold a simple white tablecloth in half and center it on my table so that the wood is still exposed on both ends. Then to add texture and depth I add a 2nd layer. This year it's burlap, last ... Read More about Cinderella Pumpkin Thanksgiving Table
Birch Tree Thanksgiving Tablescape
Happy Tuesday!! I'm back with Day 2 of my week long of Thanksgiving Tablescapes. If you missed yesterdays simple, elegant table you can check that out here. Todays table is a bit more rustic, with birch tree stumps and nature inspired pieces.Above you will see my empty table, a blank canvas. First thing I did was bunch up some burlap in the middle of the table to create a nest.Then I staggered birch tree stumps throughout the burlap to create lots of layers and different heights.Next I added all my white pumpkins and candles. I stacked them on different stumps to emphasize the different heights of the stumps.I brought in the white elements first because that's what I had the most of, ... Bold Accent Wall
A little while back I shared my craving for bold dark accent wall. In the middle of my chaos, sometimes you just have to do something different, walk away from all the current business you are swamped in and do something fresh. I showed a sneak peak of my updated home office space yesterday on Instagram, and I'm here to give you all the details today!The last time you saw my home office space it looked like this. I think though in order to have a work space that is inspiring to you, it has to reflect what is currently inspiring you. Just because it's an office is no reason it should lack in design, and not be pleasing to the eye. In fact,it may inspire you to want to come in, be productive, ... Read More about Bold Accent Wall

What’s Underfoot (New Rug Pads)
*I have partnered with Rug Pad Corner for this post, however all opinions are my own.* Hi Friends! I'm stopping in today to share with you some fabulous new products we have in our home. And after seeing the quality, and feeling the effects for a few weeks now, I'm honestly kicking myself for not doing something about it sooner. You may already know this, but we live in an old Farmhouse, an 1846 Farmhouse. We have original hardwood floors, that were professionally refinished just before we moved in, and I always get compliments on how shiny and beautiful they are, sadly since we didn't do them or hire it out, I have no idea what they used. But they are gorgeous. ... Read More about What’s Underfoot (New Rug Pads)

Coordinating Outfits for Family Photos
It's that time of year again. You know getting that fabulous family picture for those darn holiday cards! Is it me or is fall like national take your family picture time. Whether you hire someone to take your photos, or tackle that task yourself, I've been there and I've done both, and regardless of who is behind the camera, you want the ones in front of the camera looking their best. Gone are the days of jeans with a white button down shirt, or kakis with a black shirt. Todays family photos strive for a more relaxed casual feel. More candid instead of planned. And while we all long for a magazine ad outcome (totally laughing out loud) accomplishing that relaxed look can be more difficult ... Read More about Coordinating Outfits for Family Photos
