5 DIY’s for long winter days
Hello Friends!! I don’t know about you, but after the house has been cleaned, and organized and everything put back in its rightful place, sometimes during this time of year, these long winter days can feel relentless. Well at least here in New England. Instead of wishing these months away, I tend to gravitate towards doing a project. It doesn’t have to be a big project, sometimes just a simple DIY to help the days pass and get out some of that creative energy from being cooped up inside does the trick. So I’ve gone through past post, and rounded top 5 DIY’s to help us get through these long winter days, just in case you happen to be craving something to do!

Kitchen Shelves Makeover
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have caught a sneak peak of a little makeover I did towards the end of last week. As I was settling back into my routine here at home after my trip to Waco, I finally got the nerve to see if I could give my kitchen shelves a little makeover. It was like my brain needed a little break, as it was still processing all the wonderful things from last weekend, and a little DIY was just what I needed. I had been contemplating giving our kitchen shelves a makeover a few times before, but just never got up the gumption to tackle it. Well, I did! And I think you will love the outcome!
DIY | Easiest Way to Remove Labels from Bottles
Hi Friends!! Have you ever tried to remove labels off of glass bottles? Perhaps you found the cutest wine bottle in the whole wide world, that would totally make the cutest vase ever, only to be discouraged because you can’t get the dang label off? Sound familiar? Maybe you have been there too. I always have the best intentions in repurposing things, and then tend to give up halfway through when it becomes more of a struggle rather than a thrifty rescue. Until, I stumbled upon this method!
DIY Fall Wreath
I decided to do something little bit different than a traditional wreath. I love getting fresh wreaths for fall that will last me until Christmas, but since it’s still supposed to be in the high 80’s this week, I wanted to wait until the temperature drops a bit so it doesn’t speed up the drying out time. I wanted something that could be hung on our door, but also used in other places around our house as well.

Nightstand Dresser Makeover
If you follow me on Instagram, than you may have seen some sneak peeks of a little master bedroom makeover I’ve been working on! Honestly I was just ready for a change, and a dark moody color. And since our master bedroom isn’t very big, it makes painting the room pretty easy.At first I was thinking of just painting my nightstand dresser a lighter color since the walls are a new darker color. I was just about ready to do so, and figured I should at least see if I can sand off some of that paint and uncover raw wood. And you know what?! I did just that.
We Rented a BobCat
Hello Friends! Happy Friday!! Yes you read that title correctly – we rented a BobCat! My son liked to joke the whole time saying “Where I don’t see a bobcat?!”. He thought he was pretty funny! I shared in my landscaping post, we have totally switched gears after renovating our master bathroom and turned our attention towards our outdoor spaces. So to tackle one of our bigger projects we rented a bobcat, cleared some land, and laid down some crushed stone. The same kind of stone we used in our outdoor patio area. So today I’m going to show you the area we cleared, and how we install our crushed stone.
