And while this post in no way is to promote one store, in all of my online shopping experience’s I find a good portion of what I’m looking for at Joss & Main. I know that sometimes creating resolutions for the new year can become a bit daunting or overwhelming, maybe even a tad discouraging. I have spent the last week purging and cleaning. Going through areas in our house that have collected piles over the past year, who am I kidding the past few years. Some areas get re-visited more than others, and some areas stay neglected for a little while. I feel like I’ve been pretty productive though, going through clothes I haven’t worn in the past year. I never used to care that much about our entryway before. I will admit, in our early days of decorating our home, I would only focus on the main area we would spend our time in, the living room. And while that’s totally fine for us who spend everyday in our home, I realized I left my guests feeling a bit uninvited until they finally made it into our living room. Our very first apartment was a typical new englander, and we had the second floor, however to enter our house you would come in on the main floor into an entryway, and then climb a giant flight of stairs to a tiny hallway and then enter into our living room. That gave our guests about 25 steps of cold, undecorated, not-cared-about space as my first impression. Yikes! Well thankfully I’ve learned …..
