As I said in my last post, knowing what to hang on your walls can prove to be tricky sometimes. Today I’m going to highlight different art I have on my walls, and hopefully provide you with some inspiration for different types of art for your walls too! Again I will say, that I love framing family photos, especially large prints, but I’ve found if I’m doing a mix of different sized frames, I need to mix up what I put in those frames as well. For instance …
Art for your Home + A GIVEAWAY
Today I’m going to share a great place to find art for your walls. If you haven’t been around here for a little while, you may not know this, but I have a love for gallery walls. Maybe more like an obsession! I often get asked by clients what they should fill their frames with when they hang them on their walls. My first go to would be family photos, but you don’t want to go overboard. Hanging art on your walls is a great way to show everyone your personality and style. So this week we are going to tour all around our house as I show you different ways to decorate your walls, but first I’m going to show you some amazing prints, and a fun giveaway too!
Why Home Decor is so Important
All those investments of pouring into our house came full circle when we were sick, and our home offered us a place of comfort and rest so we could get better. As I laid there and looked around our home, I felt refreshed because I was in an environment that inspired me and welcomed me in to rest, so I could regain my energy to go back out into the world. Something, that in the busy everyday life can get over looked. So the next time you think it’s silly to fluff those pillows, or buy that pretty frame that makes you smile …
Cozy Spring Home Tour
Spring! Just saying the word puts a smile on my face. I don’t know why, but I don’t think I can say the word “spring” without smiling. I instantly get visions in my head of flowers popping up out of the ground, and trees budding outside. A sign that winter is over, and a new season is beginning. I always say the fall is my favorite season, and Christmas is my favorite holiday, but secretly every time spring hits …

Today I thought I would share with you some of the design ideas I have in mind for our downstairs bathroom. I have wanted to tackle this bathroom since the day we moved in, and fill it to the brim with character. Sometimes the smallest rooms are the easiest to decorate, because a little goes a long way, and sometimes …

2016 House Goals
So I’ve caught a bug. Not a stomach bug or any type of sick bug, so don’t worry. It’s funny how refreshing one space can be contagious, and now I have caught the bug of freshening up more of our spaces. We have a running joke around here, between my husband and I, that I always have a project! He may be right, but just as we approach our 5 year mark of being in this home, I was starting to think there really wasn’t anymore left to do, or was there. I did a re-cap last year when we hit the 4 year mark and it’s full of all sorts of fun before and after photos like these ….
