I have to say, this is always my favorite time of the year in our kitchen. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love our kitchen all year long, but I absolutely love decorating our open shelves for Christmas. It’s really something I look forward too, and find myself a bit sad when it’s time to take it all down. I love spending some time focusing on all the little details, and then how magical they feel once I’m done and they are all festively decorated.
DIY | Vintage Whitewashed Nutcracker
Hello Friends! Well it’s safe to say that the Christmas boxes have begun to make their way out of storage over here. My wheels have been spinning, as I begin to pull together all my thoughts and ideas for how I want to decorate our home for Christmas this year. Of course, I have many things I’m excited to see come out of the bins, but I’ve also picked up a few new pieces as well. One being these cute wooden nutcrackers from Michael’s this year. I wanted to give them a neutral – vintage look, to our Christmas decor this year, so today I’m showing you just how gave these nutcrackers a vintage, whitewashed look.
Thanksgiving Table Essentials
Friends, it’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is this month! I know to some it may feel the day we spend hours laboring in the kitchen, but I choose to look at it as a labor of love. Today I’m sharing all of my favorite Thanksgiving Table Essentials, so you can spend less time over worrying where to find just the right napkins to complete your thanksgiving tablescape, and more time anticipating the time we get to spend with family & friends.
Thanksgiving Bar Cart
Do you host Thanksgiving? Even if you don’t, I think there is one thing we can all agree on – where do we put all the food?! All at once every table top surface becomes valuable real estate, and there is just never enough room. Today I’m sharing a Thanksgiving styled bar cart, and how it can help provide you extra room for all those yummy Thanksgiving treats.
Fall in the Mom Cave
There’s a place in our home that I love to sit and enjoy the quiet. I think it’s important that we all take time to pause and reflect in this busy, fast-paced driven world. For me it’s vital. I don’t need much time, but just a few minutes of undistracted, quiet time to gather my thoughts does me a world of good – and my family too. It calms me, helps me feel less bothered, and allows me a moment to refresh, so I can give my best. It’s been awhile since I’ve shared the Mom-Cave on here, so today I’m sharing bits of fall in the mom cave.

We Each have our Own Gifts
Happy Sunday friends!! I’m just popping in, as we wrap the weekend up to share a little bit of a personal story. I love sharing bits about our home, and projects we might be working on, and of course my love for interior design, but I also love being able to connect with you on a more personal level. And even though we aren’t sitting face to face, in cozy chairs with a warm cup of coffee nestled between our hands, my heart is always to provide encouragement as well. I shared a bit in my IG stories last week, and I got so many messages back saying how much it resonated with people, that I wanted to share it here. So today I’m sharing a bit of a personal story.
