Hello Friends!! Thank you SO much for all of your kind remarks about the area in front of our barn I shared yesterday!! Sometimes you don’t really need a lot of space, it’s what you do with the space you have, and that little area in front of our barn decorated for fall really feels like I’m making the most of it! We are having the most splendid fall temperatures, seriously I can’t even believe it. It’s been mild, with cooler mornings, and comfortable days that dip back down into cooler temperatures at night. We have had no humidity for the last couple of weeks, and honestly I couldn’t wish for better fall weather. It’s made transitioning the inside of our home for fall easy, and now I’m turning my attention towards our outdoor spaces. Today I’m sharing our fall patio!
Friends, can I be honest. Vulnerable even. One of the biggest obstacles I had to overcome when writing my book, was not believing the lie that I’m a bad writer. Even simply writing that sentence “writing my book”, I paused. I hesitated. I’ve shared on here before how passionate I am about encouraging others to chase their dreams, but believe me when I tell you – I know the obstacles that come when chasing those dreams. And today I’m sharing one of mine with you.
3 years ago, I created this tablescape. And while I was photographing it for an upcoming blog post, something just sparked in me, like never before. While I was taking pictures my hubby called home to see how my day was going, and before he could finish his question I exclaimed – “Fantastic! It’s going fantastic, I love this so much. If I could only create tablescapes, and style them and then photograph them for the rest of my life, this is ALL I want to do!” I said it so confidently and proud, only to hear his response “you want to photograph tables for the rest of your life?” LOL! Hello Friends!! Thank you so much for all of your kind words about my fall decorating this year! I really wanted things to feel simple. Relaxed. And it definitely feels that way in our home right now. I mentioned in my fall home tour post that one of the easy switches I make is swapping out artwork for that new season, in this case fall. So today I’m showing you how I easily swap out my artwork.
I shared yesterday how this year for fall, it is all about subtle changes. Instead of doing a complete overhaul in our house for fall, I took my time, and added simple fall touches that really spoke to me. I love how calming and relaxed our space feels, and I truly believe that there are no rules when it comes to how you decorate for fall. Decorate for yourself, and what feels good to you, and you can never go wrong.
Fall in our living room this year is all about simple. I wanted the transition into fall to feel effortless, with easy changes, simple decor, and of course cozy texture. I love the reminder that you don’t have to give a room a complete overhaul for it to feel ready for the new season that’s upon us, that sometimes it just means swapping out throw blankets, adding a little warmth, and a simple artwork swap. All of which I did to accomplish our simple fall living room this year. Come take a look ~
I can not believe that my book will be hitting stores in twelve days. 12 DAYS!! Honestly every day we get closer to the launch of my book, I try to soak it all in, and relish in the moment of this dream I had for so long finally coming to fruition.
