Summer has always been one of my favorite seasons to gather friends and family around the table. There’s something special about lingering conversations on the porch, simple meals shared outside, and slowing down long enough to enjoy the people we love.
One of my favorite parts of creating my recent summer tablescape was choosing pieces that felt timeless, relaxed, and welcoming. The kind of items you can pull out year after year for everything from casual weeknight dinners to weekend celebrations. I think my favorite season to host must be fall – Sept-Oct-Nov and even Dec! September is still warm and sunny and the changing colors are beautiful for earthy tablescapes. You can still grill out and eat out in September comfortably too!
My favorite season to host is early summer or fall, when the weather in Kansas allows for dining outside on the deck. I love to grill some chicken, have a fresh salad and end with some strawberry shortcakes. I love to follow you, reading about your garden and watching how you put pots together on your deck. Thank you for your easy way of making life look simple and ordinary, yet filled with special times with family and friends.

My favorite season to entertain is fall and Halloween.
I love to entertain in the pool and I think my favorite days is Thanksgiving. I love the colors and the feeling of warmth that love and thanks. Paul feels like I’m wrapping a woman cozy sweater or everyone. Lol corny but true Thank you for the getaway the items are beautiful

My favorite season is summer. We have 1 young grandchild. I love watching him play in our yard, playing around the yard with his small wheelbarrow picking up fallen leaves or flowers , enjoying lunch on our small deck, , playing tee ball, and sitting with my hubs discussing “deep” topics. Setting a pretty table outdoors gives me pleasure— he doesn’t notice the decor, but I think he’ll remember it someday when he’s older!

Spring – lovely salads with crisp rose wine in the garden
Summer – fun picnics with grilled burgers and corn on the cobb enjoying the lingering summer sun
Fall – hearty soups or stews with a complex burgundy wine and something chocolate in front of the fire
Winter – traditional Thanksgivings or Christmases with family and friends at home

We built a home 4 years ago that I loved designing and used your blog for inspiration but sadly we weren’t able to do anything yet with the acre of land it sat on due to finances. Beautiful decor for a light and easy summer decor!
The summer dining decor looks so easy and relaxed, one you could use again and again. Warm weather can be tricky with the heat and humidity, major holidays Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter can be stressful. Autumn is my favorite season in many respects. Cooler weather, beautiful days, color changes in the landscape, less demanding schedules. All these lead to perfect entertaining opportunities.
I look forward to reading the book and am grateful for the chance to win this giveaway.
My favorite season to entertain is winter. My husband and I host an Open House every year between Christmas and New Year. Love the decorations, lights, and candles and the feeling of warmth and comfort. So wonderful to share with friends.
What a wonderful give away! My favorite season to host is summer, although Thanksgiving comes next. We have a three season sun room with a table that sits 14 people easily with room to add a few more. I have a large family and it makes my heart so warm to have that space filled with those I love.
During the summer I am able to use the beautiful flowers from my garden to decorate the table, although Fall decorating may be my favorite. I love the colors of Fall using pumpkins, mums, and other outdoor collections to the table.
I enjoy hosting in the summer months when everything and everyone just seems more relaxed and content with things being more casual. Maybe it’s ME that feels that way which projects to those entering my home. I love summers and the “lightness” it naturally brings to life.

What a wonderful giveaway!! I actually enjoy hosting in all seasons, but summer is just the best!! For the past 4 years we have hosted a fairly large 4th of July BBQ/potluck before everyone heads down to the lake to watch the fireworks! Even when it rains or the temps are soaring it’s a fantastic time & everyone is always eager for the next year!!
Fall is a gentle slow down and cooling comfort with Mother Nature creating the most beautiful, living painting.
