So I had a completely different post scheduled for today, but you know what I just had to share what I have been crushing on lately. I love floor plans! Like guys, I really LOVE floor plans. When I was thirteen, my dad let my sisters and I each pick out our own game for the computer. While my sisters were looking at actual games, in the game section, I searched and search for the perfect software that would allow me to decorate my own house. Unfortunately at that time, they didn’t really have anything close to that available, so I took what I could find. A software program where you could create floor plans, and place furniture in those spaces. My dad looked at me with this puzzled look and asked “if I was sure about this”. And with every bit of confidence I said YES! I couldn’t wait to try it out, lol. So I guess you could say from a very early age I loved looking at floor plans. Planning out the layout for each space, and designing it with the finishing touches in my head. While we aren’t looking to build, or moving for that matter, it doesn’t matter. Sometimes I just get swept up in the mindset of dreaming and “what-ifs”, and I just love it! The possibility, the design, starting from scratch, everything. So today I’m sharing with you 10 Modern Farmhouse floor plans that I love, because well, that’s what I have been crushing on lately.
10 Farmhouse Style Dining Tables
To me home decor is like having different outfits. I have so much fun changing out accessories, or trying new curtains, bringing in new lamps. All of that for me is like trying on a new outfit. I like to online browse a lot! It’s a hobby of mine, that also sometimes turns into a job. So today I’m sharing with you 10 Farmhouse style dining tables that I love, and think you will too.
We SOLD our Dining Room Table
YEP! I know some of you are probably going “Whaaaaat?!” right about now. Friends we sold our dining room table, and bench I might add! If your asking yourself why in the world would I do such a thing like that, allow me to recap while I share some of my very favorite photos of our dining room table with you. Sort of like a good bye tribute, because lets face it, I loved our farmhouse table, that we built, but it’s time to move on.
Fall Home Decor I’m Loving
I love freshening things up as the seasons change, and for fall I love warmer wood tones, and nubby throw pillows that remind me of curling up in a knit throw blanket. Summer colors get put away, and lighter accessories get swapped out to announce that fall has arrived. I don’t decorate with the typical fall colors of orange and reds, but I love bringing in some deeper hues, so I wanted to share some of my favorite home decor finds as I’ve been decorating for fall.
We Got a Puppy!
I feel like this story began so long ago that it needs a grand beginning like “A long long time ago…”, insert my 8 yr old son rolling his eyes at my cheesy Star Wars impression, but it’s true, this story began long before we brought her home. We got a puppy! Come hear all about how we came to the decision, how I let go of the need to have a perfectly kept house, and the great pumpkin fiasco!
Simple Gatherings LAUNCH PARTY!
I remember stressing myself out to no end as a new wife, trying to make every dinner party, every get-together PERFECT. It was ugly friends. The list goes on and on, but one of the most important things I learned was that the people sitting around my table were more important than a perfectly put together place setting. That hosting and burn out do not go hand in hand. And sometimes the simplest gatherings are the most fulfilling. To read more and enter a fun giveaway, visit the blog for all the details.

Fall Patio | Seasons of Home
The morning were crisp, the days were cool, with the softest breeze flowing through our windows. I really thought fall was here to stay, and then BAM! We are hit with 90 degree days. Our leaves are turning into the most beautiful display autumn has to offer, and these hot and humid days have me closing our windows and turning the AC back on, ugh! Thankfully cooler temps are supposed to be back by the end of this week. So to help them along, I’m sharing my outdoor patio space decorated for fall along with 14 other bloggers and our friends at Joss & Main, part of their #designtheoutdoorsevent.
Fall Home Tour 2017
I’m so excited to be sharing with you some more of our home decorated for fall! Their truly is a sense of “fall nesting” that takes over as cooler weather approaches. The need for wanting to create warm, cozy spaces to embrace you during the colder months ahead, is something I love to do for my family. Since we start to turn our focus on spending time indoors together, I love making sure our spaces are ready to accommodate all of our families needs.
