I mentioned in yesterdays post one of the things I'm Currently Loving right now are Jenna Kutcher's podcasts Goal Digger. It's all about women supporting women in their creatively made business', pursuing your passions, and turning those dreams into reality. Jenna packs it with loads of insight on how to grow your business, be better at your business, all while staying true to yourself - no gimmicks! I've been tuning in for the last 3 weeks, and I feel so inspired already. One of the things I love about podcasts is that you can listen, pause, and rewind whenever you want to. I've actually even begun to listen to them in the car too instead of music! Never thought that would happen, but I ... Read More about The Importance of Knowing Your “WHY”
Currently Loving
Hello Friends! I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. Well more processing. Thinking about my blog, why I blog, what I want to share. I've told you how in the past I've felt like I needed to keep things more professional while building my brand, but in an effort to be more candid I want to start sharing more lifestyle things as well. In all my processing, I've had so many thoughts swirling around in my head, well words actually. Things I really want to share, and sometimes they don't always fit into a neat, categorized blog post, or even a blog title for that matter. I know I've done round ups in the past on furniture or decor I'm loving for that season, but there are so many things that ... Read More about Currently Loving
Let’s Talk Plants
I have a secret. Ok maybe not a major secret, and you may have already noticed it, but I've been trying out my green thumb! This is still a new endeavor on my end, so the jury is still out on if I have one, but I have been testing the waters a bit and so far - dare I say - successful?! So let's talk plants, because we all know I'm a big fan of faux! However today I'm going to show you some new recent plants that have popped up in my life, or should I say house, even though nothing green is popping up outside yet. ... Dining Room Sources 2018
Since updating our dining room recently, I realized the last time I listed sources for our dining room was 3 years ago! YIKES! That is way to long, lol. Part of sharing how I decorate my home with people, includes making it easy to find the items I use. I hate when I am inspired by the way someone decorated a space, and I can't find a piece that they used, and I'm desperate to get it for our own home! ... Read More about Dining Room Sources 2018
16 Farmhouse Style Buffets for your Dining Room
Buffets, Credenzas, even sometimes dressers, yes those pieces of furniture we have in our dining room other than our dining room table. They serve as a place to hold extra linens and serve ware, provide additional storage needs. Fill an empty wall in the room (lol), and give us a space to create cute seasonal vignettes. One of the pieces of furniture I get asked about the most when it pops up in pictures is the dresser / buffet I have in our dining room. So today I'm sharing the story about this dresser, and 16 farmhouse style buffets for your dining room too! ... Read More about 16 Farmhouse Style Buffets for your Dining Room
Bathroom Demo
Hi Friends!! Yes you are reading that title right, todays post is all about our bathroom demo! In case you missed it we are teaming up with Wayfair for their #oneroomchallenge and renovating our master bathroom! It's so exciting! This room has NOT been touched since we've lived here, and I can honestly say it feels so good to put my signature on it! Unlike our downstairs bathroom makeover we did last year, the tub and toilet do NOT need to be replaced. However we are replacing the vanity, adding lots of new lighting, and adding a whole BUNCH of tile! EEK! You can read all about my design plan for the space HERE, and you can see all of the BEFORE pictures HERE. Today I'm going to share with ... Read More about Bathroom Demo

Chalkboard Door Farewell
The chalkboard door is gone! Yep. Now wait, before you start thinking to yourself "oh now, is that the one in her kitchen?". No, it is not the one in our kitchen. Shortly after I started blogging, I was DIY'ing everything. Anything and everything I could get my hands on, and you better believe I was making and creating up a storm. Some of it good, and some of it not so hot. I was thrilled just to have a home that I could create in, and this new found liberation blogging gave me of being able to try new things and decorate and even though I didn't have a degree, and actually have people like that things I was doing, kept me on a creative high for a long time. Almost to the point of burnout, ... Read More about Chalkboard Door Farewell
New Slip Covers for our Sofa from Comfort Works
Hi Friends! I hope you enjoyed seeing some signs of spring around our home. If you caught my post last week, than you may have noticed something different about our living room. I shared a sneak peak of the new slip covers for our sofa from Comfort Works. I am so excited to share all the details with you! I get asked a lot about our sofa, and slip covers in general, and since our sofa came with the slip covers already on them, I was never able to provide a source as to where to get your own. Many of you have asked where you can even find slip covers, or how to go about getting slip covers for the sofas and chairs you already have. Sometimes it's not necessarily the furniture that we have ... Read More about New Slip Covers for our Sofa from Comfort Works
Spring has Sprung {2018}
Eek! Spring has Sprung! Well at least inside our home it has. I should have known better living in New England, and having temps in the 70's in February that is wouldn't last, but at least it was nice while it was here, and I while I was taking these photos. Nope, today we are in for another nor'easter. If you aren't from New England it's when a really bad snow storm, and a really bad storm at sea collide, or in other words a heck of a lot of snow. Close to 20" they are calling for. So we are cozied up inside with the wood stove going, but I promise you it was sunny and I did have the windows and doors open for a brief moment when I took these photos. The good news is we have made it into ... Read More about Spring has Sprung {2018}
Spring Tablescape {2018}
It's no secret that I love creating Tablescapes. So when my friends Alicia from A Burst of Beautiful reached out to me to join her and some other blogging friends to share a Spring Tablescape, I jumped at the chance. I love coordinating plates and bowls and silverware with some fun florals to create a welcoming table. In fact when I'm working on my place settings, it's very much like coordinating outfits. It's fun to switch things up, and pair plates with different bowls, similar to pairing up jeans with a different top. There are so many options. For this spring tablescape I pulled out some of my tried and trues - think your favorite pair of jeans, with some fun new bowls in a pretty blue ... Read More about Spring Tablescape {2018}
Spring Entryway | 2018
Hello Friends! I'm so happy to be joining in with some great blogging friends today sharing our Spring Entryways and Porches. Nothing feels better than shaking off the dust of winter by refreshing our spaces for spring, and getting ready for warmer months ahead. I spent some time cleaning out our mudroom area the other day, getting rid of all our heavier winter items, sweeping up all the sand and salt that gets tracked in, and re-organizing our winter gear. It feels so good to clean up and put all those bulky items away. Today I'm sharing how I refreshed our front entryway for spring, and it was just the thing that was needed, to help spruce up our entryway and celebrate that Spring is on ...
