Fall is in the air, and boy do I have a fun little makeover to show you! A few weeks back I was browsing through FB Marketplace looking for antique foldable chairs, and stumbled across the cutest little bistro table set! Well, it wasn’t cute at first, but I knew this set had plenty of potential. With a good scrubbing, and some spray paint this bistro set got a completely new look, and it fits perfectly in an empty corner we have on our back porch. Come and see ~
Fall Decor & Design
Neutral Fall Decorating Ideas
Are you ready to decorate for fall? But not quite sure how to keep a cozy, neutral aesthetic with your fall decor? Friend, I’ve got you covered! I’ll be the first to admit, I love fall! Living in New England, we get the best showcase of all the beautiful autumn colors. And while I love the vibrant colors fall is known for, I don’t necessarily love decorating with those colors inside my home. Does that mean I have to skip out on decorating my home for fall? No way! Come and see the softer side of fall.
Fall Planter Ideas
The kids are back to school, and even though our temperatures aren’t reflecting it, as we make it into the middle of September, I know fall weather will be here soon! We have have had a bit of a heat wave here in the northeast these last two weeks (I think summer wanted one last hoorah!), which makes it hard to get in the mood to decorate for fall. But nonetheless, my wheels have been turning on what I want to create for our fall planters this year. So I thought it would be fun to share some fall planter ideas with you as well, as I brainstorm what I might want to do this year, and to help us get in the mood.
Faux Fall Floral Arrangement
Thank you so much for all of your kind words on this years Thanksgiving Tablescape. I shared it HERE, in case you missed it, and in my post I shared how I really let the centerpiece inspire the rest of the tablescape. I made the centerpiece entirely out of faux stems (and 1 preserved stem), and the best part is I can use it year after year, as part of my fall decor if I wish. So today I’m sharing how I made this faux floral arrangement, with fall inspired stems.
Thanksgiving Tablescape | 2022
It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is already here. I think by now we all know it’s no secret that I love creating tablescapes, but more importantly I love creating a welcoming table that inspires people to want to come and gather around it. To linger long after the last bite has been taken, and dessert has been served. Tablescapes don’t have to be tricky or complicated. Today I’m sharing the one thing that I think will make any table cozy, especially for Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving Tablescape | 2021
Hello Friends!! Happy Thanksgiving!! I can’t believe it is already the week of Thanksgiving ?! The groceries have been bought, the table has been set, and now it’s time to begin all the prep work so that on the actual day I only have to do a few minimal things. This year we are frying our turkey, and my husband is so excited to do this, so now there is even one less thing on my plate for the big day. I will be honest, it feels a little “late” in the blogging world to be sharing a Thanksgiving Tablescape the week of Thanksgiving, but I still wanted to share some inspiration, even if it ends up being for next years table. So today I’m sharing my simple Thanksgiving Tablescape.
Thanksgiving Table Color Schemes
It is crazy to think that we are just two short weeks away from Thanksgiving. I get giddy with excitement this time of year as I start to dream up ideas for my Thanksgiving table. I’m not fully sure why, but for me the holidays feel like the one time where I can go all out. Lighting candles, using my inherited china set, as I set the table so each one of my family members knows they have a seat at the table. One of the key elements I think about when I’m brainstorming tablescape ideas is color. Color is a great way to emphasize the mood you wish to create for your gathering, so today I’m sharing a round-up of different Thanksgiving Table Color Schemes, as we start to plan our Thanksgiving Tables.
Dining Room Hutch Styled for Fall
If you caught my Fall Home Tour, then you got a few glimpse’s of our new hutch in the dining room. I promised I would give a closer look of our new hutch in our dining room styled for fall. Honestly I’m already dreaming up all my ideas for how I want to decorate it for Christmas this year, so before we say good-bye to the pumpkins, I wanted to share some more details on how I add some simple fall touches for fall.
Fall Home Tour | 2021
ally the day! I have been hinting that I was working on finishing our fall decor for the last few weeks, and I’ll be honest, there were times I wasn’t really sure if it was going to be done or not, lol! I was so excited to decorate our new home for fall, because this is our first fall in this home. But I think a lot of that excitement was coming from a place of wanting to nest. The air is cooler, the sunlight streaming a little more amber and gold, and I wanted to do was make a giant pot of soup, and bring out all my chunky knit throw blankets, anyone else? Speaking of which, have you tried this soup HERE? It’s delicious, I’m making it tonight, but that’s besides the point. I really just wanted our home to feel warm and cozy. I will be honest, I found it a little difficult to photograph this fall home tour, because this was the first time I was officially photographing this house, I’m still getting to know her. And what lighting works right, and what angels make her shine. I almost scratched this whole post because I wasn’t totally fond of the photos I took, but I reminded myself that done is better than perfect. And since the last time I showed you this house was when we moved in, I wanted to share some of the progress we’ve made. Consider this home tour like a “first date” if you will, of me getting to know our new home through my camera lens.
