If you caught my post yesterday, I shared on the blog a cozy, neutral fall tablescape I created this year, inspired by all the things I’m loving right now. Fall invites us to slow down, savor the season, and make our homes feel extra warm and welcoming. To celebrate the release of my newest book, Making Your Home Meaningful, my publisher and I put together a special Fall Giveaway filled with a few of my favorite things to help you cozy up your home this season.
How to Create a Neutral Fall Tablescape with Cozy Elegance
There’s just something about setting the table in the fall that feels extra special. The cooler air, the golden light, and those cozy evenings at home—it all makes me want to slow down and add a little seasonal charm. This year, I put together a neutral fall tablescape that’s simple, cozy, and so easy to recreate. If you’re looking for fall table decorating ideas that feel warm but not overdone, this look is for you.
How to Style a Fall Basket Arrangement
There’s something about fall that calls for layers of texture, warm earthy tones, and natural elements that make a space instantly feel more inviting. One of the simplest ways to bring that harvest-inspired charm into your home is with a fall basket arrangement. Using dried flowers, grasses, and a woven basket, you can create a cozy accent that looks beautiful in any room—and the best part is, it will last all season long.
Simple Fall Vignette with Warm Tones and Seasonal Textures
There’s something so special about creating little seasonal moments around the house, and this fall vignette in our dining room has quickly become one of my favorites. As soon as the leaves start to change outside, I can’t resist bringing a little bit of that autumn magic indoors. Instead of feeling the pressure of decorating the entire house for fall, I like to focus on one area at a time. Creating a seasonal vignette on our buffet is one of my favorite areas to start with.
Is Fall Nesting Really a Thing?
How else do you explain the feeling you get when the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, and many of us feel the natural pull to retreat indoors and create a space that feels warm and inviting. This seasonal shift is often called fall nesting—a practice of refreshing your home with cozy layers, natural accents, and comforting details that mirror autumn’s beauty. The difference for me is that fall nesting goes beyond simply decorating for the season; it’s about embracing a lifestyle of comfort and connection, where your home becomes a welcoming retreat for cooler months ahead.
Back Deck Reveal
I am so excited to share with you our Back Deck Reveal! I will be the first to tell you that I completely underestimated the impact that this renovation was going to have on the exterior of our home. Maybe that’s because after living with the previous condition of our back deck for three years, your eyes become used to it, and the sore spots that once stuck out no longer do. Our back deck makeover has completely transformed our home’s curb appeal with a blend of classic design elements and modern comfort. Step inside (or rather, step outside) as we reveal the finished porch and all the details that brought it to life.
Back Deck Renovation Part 2
Last year, we began giving our back deck a makeover. I shared the Design Plans with you HERE, and Part 1 of the Renovation process HERE. At the end of Part 1, I shared how we would be installing new screens this coming spring, and I’m so excited to tell you that our porch is done! Before I share the full reveal, I wanted to show you the progress of installing the new screens and the details on how we built our new porch railings. I contemplated many different styles for our porch railings, and I am so pleased with how they turned out.
Summer Recap
As we say goodbye to summer and begin to embrace the signs of fall, I wanted to share a recap of all the happenings that took place for us this summer.
Life Update
I hope this post finds you soaking up the last bit of blissful moments this summer has to offer. I have so many wonderful things I can’t wait to share with you that happened this summer. But before I jump back into sharing home and decor content, I wanted to give you an update on life and the reason for my extended absence, as many of you have reached out to check in on me.
