I can remember a time when I didn’t know what Farmhouse style was. Heck, I don’t even think Farmhouse was an option of a style you could even choose from. Nowadays it seems to be everywhere. Before, if you wanted farmhouse style you could had to DIY your own decor to get the look, because most of its’ signature pieces were only found in certain parts of the country. European grain sack fabric, original tobacco baskets only found in the south, antique dough bowls, dusty galvanized buckets. Now you can head to just about any home decor store and find those items on the shelves.

Vignettes make my heart sing! I’m not quite sure why exactly I’m drawn to them so much, but I have been creating vignettes long before I knew that’s what they were called. I would come home from school and spend hours in my room arranging my knick knacks into little vignettes on my dresser and my nightstand, and find myself so content. It’s one of the first things I like to do welcome in a new season, so today I’ve rounded up some inspiring spring vignettes to share with you!

Our temps are still in the low 30’s, and even though they appear to be stuck there, I’m willing my way into Spring with the decor inside our home. I’ve had this hanging basket for a few years now, but decided to give it a little makeover to freshen things up for Spring. Come and take a look!

Hello Friends!! There is nothing like starting the week off with revealing a new project! I’ve been on “project organize the house” since all the Christmas stuff has long been put away. Really analyzing each area around our home to make sure it functions well for what our needs are as a family. I’ve been organizing our closets, and actually have a fun project planned for a back hall closet, which all got started by the re-evaluation of our current shoe situation in the kitchen.

Happy Friday Friends!! First I want to say THANK YOU so much for all of your sweet comments about how I decorated our entryway this year. I know sometimes in decorating it’s easy to know what to do with the pretty stuff, but the unsightly everyday items we need can sometimes be more tricky… like a dog kennel, lol! Hello Friends! I was joking with a friend yesterday, and made the comment “One more week and we’ve made to March!”. Here in New England our gray winter days can sometimes feel like the last forever, and this year I have found myself craving all things spring earlier and earlier. Over the next month or so I’m in the process of updating all the sources and Main home tour for the blog. It’s been seriously neglected, and I’m embarrassed to say that the last “official” Home Tour I have on the blog is from 2015! Yikes!! So I’ve been working on categories, and this is the next step. One of the most frequent inquiries I get is about the paint colors in our home. I will be creating a separate page just for the paint colors in our home, and be sure to tell you once it’s up and where it is located, but in the meantime I wanted to give you an updated post of paint colors around our home, for anyone that has been curious.
