Ohh Happy Friday friends, the weekend is here!! I’m not sure what you have planned, but I hope there’s at least one thing you are looking forward to. Today I’m sharing a story I haven’t shared here on the blog before. It’s about the very first dinner party my husband and I had – our first gathering if you will. I’ve shared my heart behind the book, and of course my love for creating tablescapes, but long ago, before blogging or even tablescapes were a thing, I found myself sitting at our hand-me-down dining room table, making handmade invitations inviting our friends to our first ever dinner party!

Hello friends!! I have to be honest, each year I create a holiday tablescape, I think to myself “this is my favorite”. Even though I have no idea what next years tablescape will look like, I love the current one I just created so much that I think how can it possibly get any better. Then, fast forward a year and it’s time to create another one, and now that one is my new favorite. It just goes to show that no two tablescapes will ever be alike, and you have to create whatever you are currently in the mood for.

Hello Friends! Our leaves are just about in peak season here in New Hampshire, and as I was driving around yesterday I couldn’t help but just admire their beauty! I don’t know what it is about fall, that totally puts me in the mood to nest. I want our house to feel cozy, I want to get-tother with friends and share a warm meal, and of course there is nothing quite like curling up with a cozy blanket and a hot cup of coffee as I watch the leaves fall from the trees outside.
