I'm so excited to be sharing with you some more of our home decorated for fall! Their truly is a sense of "fall nesting" that takes over as cooler weather approaches. The need for wanting to create warm, cozy spaces to embrace you during the colder months ahead, is something I love to do for my family. Since we start to turn our focus on spending time indoors together, I love making sure our spaces are ready to accommodate all of our families needs. This means making sure cozy throw blankets are fully stocked and that there is one for everybody. I'm joining my friends from the bHome app in the final day of our Fall Home Tour Series. ... Seasons of Home | Fall Living Room
I've slowly been adding bits of fall around our house. As I shared last week in my coffee table styling post, I like making subtle seasonal changes throughout my rooms to celebrate the upcoming season. I've been adding in some richer colored throw pillows, and cozy knits, not to mention a pumpkin here and there. Today I'm teaming up with my friends for another round of the Seasons of Home series as we all share our fall living rooms. ... Read More about Seasons of Home | Fall Living Room

There’s Room for You
After sharing my heart a bit here on the blog, I've heard from quite a few of you how encouraged you are to pursue your dream. Maybe it's starting your own blog? Or opening up a shop, or starting your own business. And maybe it's knowing when to close some doors on one end, because that season is over, and new doors are about to open. For whatever reason I've felt inspired to share my heart ramblings on this subject, even though I don't quite feel equipped too sometimes. Yet, I know God uses it. My vulnerability on the subject, just sharing some simple encouragement because I was once in those shoes myself, and if I'm being honest with myself, there are times I still am. Needing simple ... Decorating Seasonally : Coffee Table edition
A few weeks ago I shared how I change up the decor on our entryway bench seasonally. It's subtle, and quite simple, and a great way to make a change in my decor to mark a new season. I always say that I decorate more seasonally vs. for specific holidays. This allows my decor to stay up for months at a time, yes even after Christmas, instead of only a few days or a week. Even though we still have another week or so to go before it's officially declared fall, I've begun sprinkling little bits of fall throughout our home. Yesterday I shared my fall tablescape with nontraditional colors celebrating the beginning of the turn of our leaves outside. And as I get ready to start subtly swapping ... So Close to Amazing – a Home DIY Story
Do you remember the first Pinterest project you tried? You know the one that had all the promise in the world of delivering, and making you feel like you were on top of the world. The one where your kids stand in awe, and your husband is so impressed he does the dishes after dinner?! I was so relieved once I started seeing people post their "Pinterest Fails". Like literally, deep exhale of all that striving and thinking "you can do this", just to have a complete and utter failure of a project sitting in front of you staring back at you in all of it's ugliness. Yeah... one of those moments. I have seriously had my fair share of pinterest fails. A so close to amazing project that ended up just ... Read More about So Close to Amazing – a Home DIY Story

Boy Room Inspiration
Hello Friends! We are winding down summer over here (like literally today is the last day!) and to kick off back to school we decided to give the kids rooms a bit of a refresh. Because lets face it, they are kids rooms, and tend to take a bit of a beating here and there with everyday living. We have started with my sons room, so I wanted to share with you some inspiration I'm going off to create his new space. Since his walls were in worse condition than my daughters, they needed a total overhaul. When I first painted his room I used some left over paint I had from another project. This was great until I was literally scraping the bottom of the can to get the last drops of paint out barely ... Read More about Boy Room Inspiration

So today I'm sharing a variety of farmhouse style wooden trunk coffee table ideas. ... Read More about Farmhouse Style Wooden Trunk Coffee Table Ideas
How to Decorate an Entryway
If you have been a reader of my blog for a while than you've probably heard me say once or twice before that when I decorate our home I change my decor up more seasonally so I get the most use out of it. Unless the mood strikes to refresh a space, I simply stick to the same key pieces, and make subtle changes as the seasons change. Today I'm going to show you how I do this in our entryway. It's a simple area, with not much too it, but even so, changing things up seasonally makes a big impact. ... Read More about How to Decorate an Entryway
