It is crazy to think that we are just two short weeks away from Thanksgiving. I get giddy with excitement this time of year as I start to dream up ideas for my Thanksgiving table. I’m not fully sure why, but for me the holidays feel like the one time where I can go all out. Lighting candles, using my inherited china set, as I set the table so each one of my family members knows they have a seat at the table. One of the key elements I think about when I’m brainstorming tablescape ideas is color. Color is a great way to emphasize the mood you wish to create for your gathering, so today I’m sharing a round-up of different Thanksgiving Table Color Schemes, as we start to plan our Thanksgiving Tables.

I think it’s no secret that I love setting the table. Oh if my grandma could hear me know, because I used to roll my eyes every time she would ask me to when I was a kid – sorry gram! Perhaps if only she worded in such a way that had me believing I was creating a tablescape I would have been more interested back then. But you know what, I think tablescape can feel like a fancy word sometimes, when in reality I’m just over here setting the table, trying to remember which side of the plates the forks go on – it’s the left by the way 🙂 This tablescape I created around my cinderella pumpkin in yesterdays blog post just stemmed from a place of setting the table, but with a little more attention to detail. Hello Friends! eautiful fall foliage. Fall seemed to arrive a little late for us this year, which I’m told was from our very wet summer, and even though the leaves started changing a little bit later than normal, they are in peak show off mode now! Our temps are still mildly warm, as if summer is teasing us, not wanting to leave just yet, but I know it will be too cold to sit outside soon enough. So to celebrate fall in all its’ glory, I wanted to share a fall tablescape I created around my beautiful cinderella pumpkin centerpiece I recently made. Let’s Gather ~

Hello Friends!! It’s Spring, it’s Spring!! Or so I’m telling myself that, because as I type this there it is snowing here in NH. Yes friends – SNOW, in April. Which for a New Englander is nothing new. Just as we are beginning to see buds on the trees and new life emerge from the ground, the threat of a spring snow is always a possibility. A common factor of spring in New England that I keep trying to teach my kids about. Thankfully it usually disappears as quickly as it shows up, but nonetheless just when you think winter is officially over, it comes back around for one more visit. So today, on this blustery Friday in New Hampshire, I’m sharing my favorite glimpses from Spring Tablescapes I’ve created for a little inspiration, and to help remind myself that Spring is officially here.

Hello friends! I get it, this year has been nuts. Honestly I didn’t think for one minute that we would still be dealing with these circumstances come Thanksgiving, but alas here we are. I know we all have our reservations about how things look moving forward, but one thing I know for sure, is that I will not hold back on making our Thanksgiving table feel special for my family this year! Hello friends!! This week sure was fun sharing on the blog. Mostly because it involved one of my favorite topics – tablescapes. I was chatting with a friend this week about this years Thanksgiving Tablescape, and told her I don’t know which holiday I like creating tablescapes for more – Thanksgiving or Christmas? Hello friends!! Thank you so much for all of your kind words regarding this years Thanksgiving table. I was chatting with a friend the other day, and I told her it’s a hard toss up to decide which holiday I like creating tablescapes for more, Thanksgiving or Christmas! I love the seasonal elements that both holidays bring forth, but what I love even more is the excuse the holiday gives me to create a fancy table for my family. Today I’m sharing how I made the place cards I used on this years Thanksgiving table. It was quite simple, but there’s nothing quite like adding the personal touch of a place card to make others feel welcome.

As I was preparing for this years Thanksgiving Tablescape, I had an image pop up in my memories of the very first thanksgiving tablescape I created over 7 years ago! It was crazy to look back and see how this love of creating a warm gathering place has always been apart of me. The desire to see family and close friends gathered around the table sharing a meal and building memories. I know that this year Thanksgiving might look a little different than it has in years past, but I hope that at the heart of your table this year you are able to soak in the moments with those gathered around it.
