Thank you so much for your kind words to yesterdays post! I shared my struggle to keep up with running at a break-neck pace with little or no time to refresh ourselves. The downside to this is we end up running out of creative juices. I'm talking about when the creative pool runs dry. We are left feeling unmotivated and uninspired to create or put our hands into any project. You can catch the post in it's entirety HERE, but what it did was inspire me to put my hands to doing something I truly love. If you've been following along for awhile than you know it's no secret I love creating tablescapes. And just as much as I love to style them, I love to photograph them as well! ... Doing What You Love
It's so important as a creative person to take time to do what you love. That might seem like a no-brainer at first, but life's demands have a way of creeping in and stealing us away from the things we love to do the most. Before we know it we are running at a break-neck pace with little or no time to refresh ourselves. The downside to this is we end up running out of creative juices. I'm not talking about burn-out, because that is an entirely different beast in itself, although if we aren't careful we might end up there too! I'm talking about when the creative pool runs dry. We are left feeling unmotivated and uninspired to create or put our hands into any project. I found myself feeling ... Read More about Doing What You Love
Spring Porch Refresh
The rain has finally stopped. Although the extended forecast says we are in for more, but for now it stopped long enough for me to refresh our porch for spring. Once warmer temps start to hit here in New England, it's like everything comes to a screeching halt, and we turn our attention to all things outdoors. I think our long winters really help us appreciate the warmer months, and being outside. However you can't fully enjoy it unless you have a space to sit down and relax, and enjoy it in. After creating our outdoor patio space last year with Joss & Main, I was excited to team up with them again this spring and this time give our farmers porch a little attention. It is my go-to spot ... Read More about Spring Porch Refresh
Bathroom Makeover Reveal
Friends, today is the day! I'm finally sharing our bathroom makeover reveal! It's not because it took us forever to finish it, although it was nice not having any deadlines right on our heels. No we have been stuck in perpetual days of rain and clouds. I mean it is true what they say "April showers bring May flowers", and we can't wait for that. The sun finally broke through last week for a brief moment and I was able to get some pictures. If you caught my Insta stories than you got a little sneak peak. And for those who did catch my Insta stories and I couldn't get details out fast enough on sources, everything is sourced and linked today. Enjoy! ... Read More about Bathroom Makeover Reveal
Spring Master Bedroom
Like any room in our house, when spring comes along I like to switch out winter blankets for summer blankets. There's nothing like freshening up a space during spring time months with lighter blankets and pillows. Since it's national sleep week I wanted to show you how I lightened things up in our master bedroom. I teamed up with Crane & Canopy, along with a few other bloggers to share our bedrooms with you all week long. ... Read More about Spring Master Bedroom

I love sharing with you my favorite home decor choices, so today I've rounded up my favorite spring home decor picks for this year! A Season of Change
I've been contemplating something for quite a while. Well stewing over it more or less. This week I finally said the words out loud, and there is something about verbalizing a thought out loud that makes your decision that much clearer. For me it brought confirmation, because instead of hesitation or adding more questions, it brought peace. And that was all the reassurance I needed. Let me rewind. ... Dining Room Progression
I shared yesterday that 6 years ago to the day, we closed on our first home! It was such an exciting time in our lives, we were finally going to own our home, and I couldn't wait to put my signature on it. When we first moved in pretty much every room in the house was yellow. We were in our sixth year of marriage so other than our IKEA living room furniture we had purchased a few years prior, the rest of our belongings were typical newlywed hand-me-downs. With 2 kiddos under two I was excited to make this house a home. Today I'm going to share our Dining Room progression over the past 6 years. ... Read More about Dining Room Progression
Celebrating Milestones
Six years ago today my husband and I did our 4th serious grown-up accomplishment. We sat down and signed away what felt like our life, and some of the scariest documents we had ever seen, but what turned out to be one of the most exciting things we did together. Although it was extremely intimidating and there were moments that felt like this was never going to happen, on March 28th, 2011, only 10 weeks after the birth of our second child, we bought our first house. I can still remember sitting there with butterflies in my stomach of severe excitement and also anxiety of what would happen to us if this all went south. There's no guarantees in life, and so when you commit to a bank for the ... Read More about Celebrating Milestones
