Back in the fall, we moved our room around. Don't worry you haven't missed anything, it has yet to make it to the blog, because quite honestly it just didn't feel finished to me. I know, not the best excuse, but our room also only gets somewhat decent light at the end of the day, so it's not the most ideal space to photograph. For my Inspire Me Diy (#inspiremediy) challenge I decided to give our lampshades a makeover. They were plain white, not even a nice textured fabric on them, so they were lacking a little in the glam department. In case you are new around here, I L.O.V.E. stripes! It's pretty much my go - to choice of pattern, and if I think something is lacking that extra touch, I ... Read More about DIY Lampshade Upgrade – Inspire Me DIY

Grey Painted Interior Doors
Are you familiar with grey painted interior doors? Have you seen them before? I know, or at least I think I know we are all familiar with black painted interior doors.Which can I just say, these come out stunning! I have advised a few clients to jump on this boat, and every time, they are shocked with how stunning the out come is, and how much they like it. I will say that to achieve a cohesive look, the right wall color plays a big factor in this look. I wouldn't recommend painting your doors black, if your walls are navy blue :)But back to grey. I like this look, because it's an unexpected sophistication. Grey is such a calming color, all while remaining neutral as well. It gives a ... Read More about Grey Painted Interior Doors

Thoughts on Turning 30, and My Grown-Up wish list!
Yes I said it! I'm turning 30! GAH!!! And while I have not fully digested that fact, or that it is happening next week, I figured I should begin processing it. I know for some of you this glorious transition has already happened, and I take full assurance in your words of how wonderfully fantastic being 30 can actually be. I just can't even grasp that this is finally happening, and right around the corner too! I still feel like "Didn't I just turn 21?" "How have my twenties already come and gone?" But they have, and being able to embrace turning 30 is made a whole lot easier by reflecting on how much I have figured out about myself. For instance, when we were getting married {just about ... DIY Wood Bead Garland
Today I'm going to share with you how I made the wooden bead strand you saw from our Printer's Cabinet reveal post last week! I was in love with Pottery Barns version, but was envisioning something a little more drift wood looking. via : Pottery Barn via : Pottery Barn I picked up some bags of wooden beads from Hobby Lobby, from their "wood" aisle where they have the bird houses and other wooden things for crafts. They were about $4 a bag. You will need string and a drill with attached drill bit. I began by drilling holes in all of the wooden beads. I had 4 bags, 2 of each size, and it took me about an hour. I chose a small drill bit, which meant your ... Read More about DIY Wood Bead Garland
Spring Inspiration
It's no secret that this winter has seemed a bit longer than usual! I will admit it, here in New England we are familiar with winter, bitter temps, lots of snow, and drastic changes in the weather! I'm not going to lie though, I was a bit surprised to wake up this morning and see a fresh coating of snow on the ground, and the kids exclaiming that Spring is never going to come!! And although it certainly feels that way, I know it's right around the corner. So today, while spring seems to be on pause, I am day-dreaming of beautiful outdoor spaces like these.via : New England Homevia : Country Livingvia: BH&Gvia : Country Livingvia : BH&GLast summer we finally got around to planting ... New Printer’s Cabinet
If you follow me on Instagram, than you have already gotten to see a few sneak peeks of our DIY printers cabinet tv unit. Allow me to introduce you to a corner of our living room that you haven't seen much of before.
